Goal:To Become a Better Cook

I have a much needed desire to be able to make amazing meals for Brett and Adelle. I get so caught up in my own stuff and how tired I am at the end of the day that the idea of having to make dinner, even though i don't mind it, is daunting! I am not creative in the kitchen I have no clue most of the time what would taste good together or how to make things. My stuff that I make well was either a recipe passed to me or by happy accident we ended up needing something, not having it and improvising: i.e. putting alfredo sauce in our spaghetti, by the way it's amazing and you should definitely do it. Stay away from Ragu, GAG!

By the way I totally want this kitchen!
One website my friend Jenna showed me is King Arthur Flour. It has amazing recipes for not only breads but some awesome dinners. I'm going to try the Creamy Tomato Soup this weekend, doesn't it sound delicious with a panini pressed sandwich. I have a press I just haven't used it that much but with Fall arriving nothing sounds better right now than soup and a sandwich!

On another note Adelle has a cold and we're not sleeping too well. It's that time of the year to get out the humidifiers and the Vicks. I love Vicks! Tomorrow I have work and plans to get the sewing room in working order, it's pretty bad! Hopefully if I find my camera tomorrow I'll have proof that I accomplished something, woot! Have a good rest of your Sunday, and hopefully you're well prepared for your week!

Oh one more thing, Do you have any recipes you'd recommend me to try? I'm really open to trying anything and I'd love to know what you make for dinner!

  1. Yum, Creamy Tomato Soup sounds so good!
Have you had any luck with a blog button?

  2. I've been working on one, I just need to sit down and take the time to get all the coding entered. Doesn't it sound amazing, I'm not a big tomato soup person but the recipe just looked amazing!
