Weekend Warriors: Finger Tattoos

For Brett & my anniversary we wanted to get our very first tattoos. After seeing a million and one examples on pinterest and admiring my SIL Hannah's finger tattoo I became dead set on getting Brett's name there.

Well little did I know that tattoo artists hate this trend!
On Wednesday we headed over to a tattoo parlor (one of which I will not name) and as we walked in, there sat a man at a desk behind a computer. Not only did he not say hi, he didn't even look up at us until we were standing in front of him for a few seconds and I awkwardly said hi to get his attention. I barely started describing what I wanted before he interupted me and said "No, you can't do that. I can't send work out looking like that!" I was a little shocked from the abruptness and asked why. His response: "you just can't!" he explained himself a little, but I think I was still in shock at how he was treating a potential customer that I didn't hear the explaination. We asked him of any other place and he didn't offer up much, not even a solution like "but you could get a tattoo here!" So we left.

I called a couple places most of which were iffy about it, and one even said I could drive across town and try to convince someone to do my tattoo. Um, I'm not going to beg someone to do something they obviously don't care about, especially considering it's permanent.

At last I called Dr Jack's, not only was I greeted by the nicest girl ever, I got to speak to the artist on the phone who confidently said "yea I can definitely do that!"

So, all that to say that Jay from Dr. Jacks Ink Imporium is awesome!
He is an amazing painter, has been in the business for 10 years and seriously you'll have to check out his studio! If you happen to be in the Omaha area and interested in getting tattooed contact him! Here is the website. When I get another tattoo I will definitely go back!
