I love gingham and since we have hardwood floors this little play mat was a much needed project to check off my list. Here is where I got my inspiration. If you've been a reader for a while I'm sure you've heard me say "I am not a quilter," but this involved very little effort on my part.
Literally take 2 yards, cut in half, put batting between and top stitch to hold all of the layers together. Finish the edges with bias tape and you're done.
This was the first time I made bias tape and I swear to never go back to store bought, so easy, cheap and so much prettier than the plain scratchy cotton.
Don't forget about the giveaway going on, a chance to win HANDMADE MOCCASINS!
